Modeled in Fusion 360, batch converted STL to OBJ in Maya, retopped in Zbrush, UVs in Max and Headus, bakes in Xnormal, materials in Quixel and Photoshop, and renders in Marmoset.
Fusion is a killer modeling tool. There are things I would have a really hard time with in other tools that Fusion can do all day long. Exporting geo out of Fusion is pretty easy, but there's a trick. You can easily export each part as a separate STL file, but Zbrush can't do a multi append with anything other than OBJ files. I wrote a Python script to convert all the STL files in a directory into OBJ files, which helped speed the process up considerably. There are over 80 individual parts, so doing it one at a time would have been a pain. Once it was in Zbrush, it needed to be dynameshed. The CAD geo looked great, but it has a ton of triangles that bake like crap. Once it was all converted to Dynamesh, the rest of the process was pretty standard. If anyone wants the Python script, shoot me an email - isaac.oster@gmail.com
